“When I first saw her, I just knew,” Leigh Anne said. “She wasn’t like other puppies. She was so flat, I had to hold her sideways. But I couldn’t let go. She needed us, and we needed her.”
Fighting for Starfish
From the moment Starfish joined their family, everyone rallied around her. They were determined to help her walk, to give her the life she deserved.
“All we had to do was get her little feet underneath her,” Leigh Anne said. “We’d take her outside, let her feel the grass, and guide her. She wanted to follow us so badly.”
But the Grays weren’t alone in this journey. The rescue center team cheered her on, day after day. “She didn’t know anything was wrong with her,” Leigh Anne shared. “She just kept trying. Every day, she got a little stronger.”
Starfish’s Amazing Recovery
