Abandoned White Puppy Tied to a Pole Waits for Days, Hoping for Rescue

On a cracked patch of cement in Santa Monica, California, a white dog named Buckley sat alone. His leash was tied to a pole, and his big brown eyes stared up the street. He was waiting. Waiting for the person who left him. Waiting for someone to notice him.

Days passed. No food, no water. Just loneliness.

A Kind Heart Notices Buckley

One day, a local rescuer was walking by when she spotted Buckley. She saw the sadness in his eyes. Her heart ached for him. A six-month-old husky puppy, abandoned and helpless. She knew she couldn’t walk away.

She approached him gently. Even after everything, Buckley wagged his tail. He didn’t growl or cower. He just looked up at her with hope.

Safe at Last

The rescuers quickly took Buckley to safety. He was finally given food, water, and the love he had been waiting for. Despite his ordeal, Buckley remained sweet and trusting.

“Buckley is an exceptional dog,” said Sasha Abelson, director of Love Leo Rescue. “He is well-balanced and loving. He didn’t let his past change his beautiful personality.”

A New Beginning in a Foster Home

Buckley moved in with a foster family. It didn’t take long for him to start thriving. He ran, played, and explored like a true husky. He made new dog friends and loved every moment spent outside.

“Buckley is a happy-go-lucky husky,” Abelson said. “He loves playing, learning new things, and hiking. But he also enjoys cuddling with his humans. He is the perfect family dog.”

Still Searching for a Forever Home

Buckley’s heart is full of love, but he still waits for a family of his own. His rescuers hope he finds a home with an active family—one that understands his husky energy and love for adventure.

“Buckley would love a home with another playful, balanced dog,” Abelson shared. “A dog sibling would be wonderful for him.”

A Hopeful Future

For now, Buckley waits. But this time, he isn’t alone. He is surrounded by love. And with any luck, the perfect family will find him soon.

Until then, he will keep playing, keep loving, and keep hoping.
